May 7, 1967, London – Jimi Hendrix poses backstage at the Saville Theatre, sporting a new psychedelic jacket given to him as a gift by Chris Jagger, brother of Rolling Stones vocalist Mick Jagger. Hendrix can be seen wearing the jacket on the cover of the U.S. version of the ‘Are You Experienced?’ album, released just a few months later.
