About the Norman Seeff Vintage Color Collection
For the past 50 years, Norman Seeff has created several of the most recognizable and iconic images of the 20th century. Seeff started his professional career photographing album covers and his body of work includes actors, comedians, directors and scientists that were photographed in seminal moments of their careers.
Seeff’s raw and emotional approach toward photographing his subjects is rooted in his interpersonal exploration, and elicits an uncommon honesty from his subjects. Capturing the likes of Carly Simon, The Rolling Stones, Joni Mitchell, Martin Scorsese, Steve Jobs and Andy Warhol in some of their most intimate moments gives the viewer a rare snapshot into these trailblazers’ vulnerable and uninhibited sides.
Seeff’s body of work features over 600 album covers, countless magazines covers, interviews and numerous biographies. Additional highlights are Apple’s iconic “Think Different”, advertising campaign featuring the image of film director, John Huston, and the cover of TIME magazine’s tribute to Steve Jobs’ death on Oct. 5, 2011.
