“Miles was constantly reinventing himself. Pictured here on July 6, 1970, he was laying the groundwork for what was to become ‘jazz fusion’ and promoting his Bitches Brew album. This performance at the Central Park Schaefer Music Festival featured his new all-electric ‘septet.’ Rocker Lee Michaels opened this show.
