The Rolling Stones: Live at the Marquee – Photographs by Alec Byrne

In 2015, during the editing process for his forthcoming book, LONDON ROCK: The Unseen Archive, Alec Byrne staged an exhibition of the treasure trove of mostly unseen photographs of the Rolling Stones infamous March, 1971 show at London’s Marquee Club. The show, put on at the Perfect Exposure Gallery in Los Angeles, featured 24 handmade silver gelatin prints of the images below. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Marquee concert, we are re-releasing the exhibition prints, made in an edition of only 5 each.You can view and purchase here or visit the Rock Photography Museum’s first virtual exhibition.
